Life with a Newborn

The first few months can be exhausting, but they are so worth it. You will most likely be told sleep when the baby sleeps, but you also may have other things you need to do. You baby will sleep a lot during the day. So if you have something you need to do then do it when they sleep. If you are tired, take a 15-45 minute power nap. You baby may take 3 or more naps a day so nap, clean, shower, or exercise during this time Remember a healthy, happy mommy leads to a happy baby. Also, never pass up help from friends or family. You will be thankful for the help. You baby will love to be held and talked to. These are very important things to do. Not everything will go your way, but it will be okay. You baby might not want to sleep in their crib/bassinet or they may cry a lot. And that is okay! You don't have to follow every single thing a book says to do. There are so many ways to raise a child and you will develop the way that fits you best. You will also get those annoying people that say you aren't doing something right or that you should raise your child differently. These people are handled best by nodding your head and going on with what you were doing.Just enjoy that special little baby that you have been blessed with.
I promise you will do just fine!
He was worth it!
